Google+ Communities in the Classroom
Google+ Communities is a great resource for everyone, including teachers. Google+ Communities is accessed online and also has an app available. I have explored Google+ Communities and have followed several different ones that I think are very helpful. The ones I am following are: Teachers Helping Teachers, Digital Education, Teaching Resources, Best Educational Apps for Kids, Educational Technology, and Education. I explored these different communities and I found so many great educational videos, posts, and resources. One post that I found on Teachers Helping Teachers was a link to the site called Teach Like Midgley. I really loved this post because the Teach Like Midgley blog was full of helpful tips and resources to help teachers out. It's really inspiring to read what other teachers are up to and their passion for teaching and helping other teachers out. Google+ Communities has unlimited resources for teachers. The more I kept digging the more I found. On the Best Educational Apps for Kids, I found posts and links to so many fun and educational games that I want to incorporate into my classroom someday. One of the favorite apps I learned about is called Brain Pop Jr. Movie of the Week. You can access BrainPop Jr. here. I think BrainPop Jr. Movie of the Week is a great app because it offers short and fun educational videos for students to watch. This would be great for students who have free time. I found so many great resources on a Google+ Communities. I would recommend it because you never know what you might find! I kept digging and found more and more great resources. Teachers can learn so much from other teachers and it is important to take advantage of great resources like this. Google+ Communities has so many different communities. I started out following some of the larger more popular communities but then I explored some of the smaller communities and found great resources on those as well. I love that Google+ Communties is filled with posts and videos right there on the page. Check out Google+ Communities here!
