Review/Reflection
I learned that iMovie can be used to create an entire inspiring film shot entirely from the iPad. I have never thought about using this tool in the classroom before but I think it would be a great way to incorporate technology. iMovie can be a great way to engage students' learning in a way that's fun and exciting for them. I learned how simple creating an iMovie is. Before reading more about the process I was very intimidated by creating and editing videos but the Apple Teacher iMovie starter guide breaks down the process and shows how easy it can be. The media library contains videos, photos, and audio that will be used in the iMovie. The iMovie timeline is where you edit your movie by arranging, adding, and trimming your video, audio, and photos. Inspector allows you to modify your selected media even more. There are many different steps to creating an iMovie but the Apple Teacher iMovie starter guide really breaks it down and is a great rescource to look back on for future questions. There are so many different features offered, such as overlaying videos, adding sound effects, fading background music, syncing clips to the music, and so much more. The possibilities are endless and you can create a professional movie using iMovie. Your iMovie can be as simple or complex are you want it to be. This is great for students and for teachers to use in the classroom.
